Devon Branch Christmas Lunch 2025 A lovely Devon branch Christmas lunch was held on the 11th December at a pub on the edge of Dartmoor. There was a break in the wet and stormy weather which allowed for easy travelling for most. The lunch was made special by the attendance of a dozen of the former Cornwall branch members, and we were delighted to welcome them into our fold. Our numbers were boosted to over 40 which enabled us to take over the restaurant. Peter Brewer said grace and reminded us to be grateful for the food on the table. VP Colin Hutt took the opportunity to present Devon branch Chairman Keith Howard with a certificate to mark his 50 years as an IPA member. Earlier in the year Keith was presented with a certificate and a commemorative medal to mark his 100th donation of blood - two very special achievements in one year. At the end of the meal, Keith was give the Loyal Toast to the King and a toast to our Patron HRH The Princess Royal. A good time was had by all, and everyone was wished a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

Sussex Branch AGM The Sussex Branch held its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 19th February 2026 at the Constitutional Club in Burgess Hill where the committee were re-elected for a further year. At the end of the meeting, Branch Secretary John Cooke was presented with his 50-year membership certificate by Chairman Chris Orlande. During his 50 years of membership and before becoming Secretary of Sussex, John was previously Secretary of Avon & Somerset (North) Branch and Secretary of 7 Region. He had given

up those positions upon his retirement from the Police in 2004 and intended to enjoy life as a member. That is until he and his wife, Tina, settled in Sussex and he answered a call for help from the Branch. Photo shows John Cooke on the left with Chris Orlande on the right.
