London Fashion Week Jackie Miles In 2016 I visited the South Island of New Zealand. Whilst there, we enjoyed great hospitality from the local IPA in Napier, as well as staying in some of their accommodation units. So when there was a post on the Facebook page about a lady visiting from New Zealand, who had a spare ticket to The London Fashion Week I thought it would be lovely to be able to reciprocate the hospitality we had received. I was very excited to be selected and made contact with Melanie, who is originally from the UK. On the 25th February we met at her London hotel, where she was staying for a few days with her two delightful daughters and husband Geordie, who is a serving officer with the military police. We exchanged challenge coins, which is something very new for the NZ IPA. Geordie was taking the girls to the Tower of London while we were at the fashion show. We were chauffeured to the location in The Strand and enjoyed the VIP hospitality before seeing a fashion show, which featured “New Wave, Retro and Cyber Sport” designs. We had a great day, however I am pretty sure neither of us would have worn any of the outfits!
