Delany has experience in lawful subterfuge and disguise, which he gained whilst employed by the military and the police. When members of his family become victims of violent criminal acts and the offenders cannot be brought to justice because of the destruction of evidence and other inside interference, will such a man shrug his shoulders and walk away, or will he cast a vengeful shadow upon those he knows to be responsible? DEADLY Inheritance by Richard Allen Murder and duplicity, jealousy and hatred at the scene of a brutal stabbing, Detective Superintendent Kay Yin questions whether the deceased was the intended victim. Together with Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Faraday, Kay’s investigation centres upon a quartet of suspects: a successful English property entrepreneur and his Italian wife (an EU lawyer); a highly respected wine merchant from Madeira and an unsavoury Gibraltarian estate agent. Mark and Kay’s enquires take them from the shadows of a circus car park in Bristol to the stately splendour of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London; from the dramatic Rock of Gibraltar to the water Cabo Girao in Madeira, and from the extraordinary Russell-Cotes Museum to the Brecon Beacons in Wales, where, at every turn, they encounter arrogance, egotism, envy and jealousy, treachery and hatred and nothing is at it seems.
