IPA News

Hertford Regional College Students Assist the IPA in Charity Project As part of a project run by 9 Region, Hertfordshire branch, to get the IPA known in the wider community and outside the police family, the branch enlisted the help of a group of students from Hertford Regional College. The students helped to raise over £500 for Kalinovka children’s home in Ukraine. The home featured on the 2012 documentary ‘Ukraine’s forgotten children’ by Kate Blewett - who is also supporting the branch’s efforts.

Northamptonshire Branch News The Northamptonshire branch March meeting was held at Jeys Chemist Cafe Museum, Earls Barton. Bill Tapp, Treasurer, said, “It was a very interesting place and we all enjoyed its newly added ‘Rupert Bear’ collection with the working models. Refreshments were very well presented and we were given a piece of ‘Rupert Bear’ cake. It was a very enjoyable day out for the members.”

In April, Northamptonshire branch had lunch at Booth Lane College, Northampton, where staff are training to become waitresses and chefs - as part of their college course. Bill Tapp said, “We had a lovely 3 course lunch for a party of 20 of us which was presented and served in a very professional manner.
