Friendship Week Cancelled Liverpool & Merseyside Branch have taken the difficult decision to cancel their Friendship Week planned for 22nd – 29th August 2022. It will be rescheduled for 2023, on dates to be confirmed. I was visited by an old friend of our Branch, a veteran of the Falklands Campaign, Simon Weston. I know that many IPA members across Section UK have been volunteering to sell poppies, especially this year when the RBL has lost many members during 2020 due to Covid. We are grateful to each one of you. Update your Email Addresses Please! The recently reformed Glasgow, Lomond & Clyde Branch are appealing to Branch members to update their email addresses. Branch Secretary George Smart said “ It is great that the branch is back up and running and the committee are keen to support our members in the best way possible. We have noted however that there are some members’ Email addresses are no longer valid and therefore we would ask all our member to check to ensure that the details are up to date with Fox Road. Any member who does not have an email address but can provide alternative contact information should let the Branch Committee know so we can facilitate this.” The Police Treatment Centres are open for treatment Having closed last year due to COVID restrictions, both St Andrews & Castlebrae are now open and accepting applications for Physiotherapy and Psychological Wellbeing Programmes. Their priority remains to keep both Employees and Patients safe, and in order to do so, both Centres are working at slightly reduced capacity. This will also ensure that they adhere to current government and clinical guidance. However, we remain confident that you will still find the Centres a safe and relaxing space to focus on your personal health and wellbeing and that you will receive the maximum benefit from your stay. www.thepolicetreatmentcentres.org
