Spotlight on the SIGs

Motorcycle SIG visits Northern Ireland Rodney Mackenzie , Section UK Motorcycle SIG In June 2022, the Motorcycle SIG visited Northern Ireland to hold their AGM. This is the first time that the group had held their AGM in Northern Ireland. The meeting took place in the Lodge hotel in Coleraine, and was attended by members from Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland. D uring the meeting, one of the members from Northern Ireland was elected as Vice Chair of the SIG. John Orr has been a member of the IPA for several years and had attended events throughout the UK. John readily accepted the position and looks forward to working with the rest of the committee in the future.

During the visit to NI, our visitors were shown around the province. We travelled the North Coast Road from Larne to Portrush, spent a day in Fermanagh and another day in the Mourne Mountains. The weather was generally kind to us, although we did see some rain. On the last night, we enjoyed a meal held in the Lodge Hotel, where stories from all the members added to the craic, and new friendships were made.
